The Sto:lo Tourism Commission Mission Statement: “Driven by its entrepreneur membership, the Stó:lō Tourism Commission is effectively facilitating capacity building, enterprise development and market expansion initiatives on behalf of its growing grass-roots membership”. STC was established as an operating entity of SCF in 2004, and has been implementing its comprehensive strategic plan, which was established in 2005, ever since. STC has a major role in the delivery of authentic Stó:lō and other Aboriginal cultures to present their history, as the People of the River, and their relationship with the Fraser River in partnership with their neighbours. The Stó:lō Nation Traditional Territory includes 24 First Nation communities that extends from the Fraser Valley up to the lower Fraser Canyon.
